Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to subscriptions to Verdikt (verdiktresearch.com). By initiating a subscription, you agree to this Policy together with our Terms of Service.

1. Subscription plans

We currently offer paid plans on a monthly and annual basis through our payment processor, Razorpay. Current pricing is published on the pricing page. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle until cancelled.

2. Cancellation

• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account, or by writing to founder@verdiktresearch.com.
• Cancellation stops future auto-renewals. You will retain access to paid features until the end of the then-current paid billing period.
• Cancellation by itself does not entitle you to a refund of the current or any prior billing period.

3. Refunds — general rule

Subscription fees, once paid, are non-refundable, except as expressly set out below or where refund is required by applicable law. Because the Service is a digital research tool that consumes compute, model-inference, and data resources as soon as access is granted, partial-use refunds are not offered.

4. Discretionary refunds

We may, at our sole discretion, offer a full or partial refund in situations such as:

• duplicate or accidental charges arising from a payment-processor error;
• failure of the Service to function in any material respect for an extended period attributable to us, where the issue has been reported to us and not resolved within a reasonable time;
• unauthorised charge to your payment method (subject to verification and to any applicable bank or Razorpay dispute process);
• other genuine hardship cases, evaluated case-by-case.

To request a refund, write to founder@verdiktresearch.com within seven (7) days of the relevant charge, with (a) the email on your account, (b) the Razorpay payment ID or transaction reference, and (c) a brief description of the reason.

5. Processing

• Approved refunds are issued via the original payment method through Razorpay.
• Refunds typically reach your account within seven to fourteen (7–14) business days from approval, depending on your bank or card issuer.
• Any applicable taxes (GST) collected on the refunded amount will also be refunded where permitted by law.

6. Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us first before initiating a chargeback. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account pending investigation. We reserve all rights to dispute incorrect or fraudulent chargebacks.

7. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by posting the updated Policy with a new effective date and, where appropriate, by email or in-Service notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
